Maintenance Supervisor
Company information:

• Maintenance Supervisor opening in a new food facility in Joliet is hiring due to growth and expansion
• They promoted the previous supervisor into a Control Engineering role

• Salary is based on experience and pays 100K-120K + 15% bonus (based on education and experience)

Responsibilities

• Provide direction and coaching for a team of mechanics, show by example
• Plan and perform regular and scheduled preventative and predictive maintenance
• Manage a team of employees, including hiring, workforce planning and scheduling, employee relations, and employee development.
• Ensure a safe working environment and promote an environment of continuous improvement.
• Participate in capital projects and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Troubleshoot electrical and mechanical breakdowns to ensure production continues as planned

Requirements

• AAS/BS degree is preferred or Maintenance certifications and an equivalent of 5+ years of maintenance supervision/ management experience required
• 5+ years of manufacturing maintenance leadership experience; open to any manufacturing industry
• Experience troubleshooting electrical and mechanical breakdowns and ability to coach / teach skills
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Good attitude, excellent problem-solving skills and able to work in a fast-paced environment

Pluses experience:

• Manufacturing experience specifically with Food, consumer products, high-speed packaging, or any high-speed manufacturing experience
• Military veterans thrive in this fast-paced environment
• Able to read blueprints and schematics
• Experience with troubleshooting / coaching employees on PLC's, VFD's, slicers, wrappers, ovens, freezers, and similar equipment
