- Repair and/or replace any defective parts, components, or systems.
- Test equipment once repaired to ensure operation is complete.
- Travel to various remote sites to accomplish field repairs and/or Preventative Maintenance on internal and external trucks.
- Document steps taken throughout the repair process on work orders and list supplies used for the repairs.
- Occasional welding on equipment as needed. Job Skills & Qualifications
- Excellent written and spoken communication skills.
- Mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical systems used in heavy duty equipment.
- Ability to lift 50lbs.
- Must have own tools
- Valid driver license
- Ability to use multiple scanning tools for diagnostics.
- Ability to use and interpret technical manuals.
- Ability to work alone.
- CDL (Class B Commercial Driver license)
- Completion of a technical certification program for mobile heavy equipment repair
- Mobile mechanic experience
