    Description
    Our client is currently seeking a Sr. Electrical Engineer, located in South West, IL.

    Responsible for the design of electrical/electronic products for use in protection and control of power generation, transmission, distribution, and motor systems as assigned.

    In this role, employing effective techniques and efficient methods to drive projects to successful completion is key.
    Collaborate
    with stakeholders to define project requirements and objectives.
    Consider
    factors such as safety, reliability, cost-effectiveness, and
    manufacturability.
    Create
    schematic diagrams, circuit layouts, and system architectures. Select
    appropriate components (controllers, power bridges, sensors, etc.) based
    on design specifications.
    Ensure
    compatibility and integration with existing systems.
    Align
    electrical design with firmware/software requirements . Collaborate on
    interface definitions and data exchange protocols. Resolve any conflicts
    or dependencies between hardware and software components.
    Conduct
    theoretical analyses and simulations. Create proof-of-concept prototypes
    if necessary.
    Review
    test results related to electrical performance, signal integrity, and
    reliability.
    Thoroughly
    review electrical schematics for accuracy and confirm that all components
    are correctly specified in the BOM.
    Provide
    essential information for instruction manuals and sales materials.
    Assist
    in creating documentation related to the electrical design.
    Assess
    the quantity and cost of components required for production. Estimate the
    time and resources needed for design, development, and testing.

    REQUIREMENTS:
    B.S.E.E. degree or equivalent.
    One to three years
    of design experience preferred.
    Prefer candidates interested in
    utility/power plant industry. Be prepared for occasional travel to attend workshops, training sessions, or project-related activities.
