General Laborer or Materials Handler - Gwinn - Manpower

Our client, an industry leader in industrial services, is seeking a General Laborer or Materials Handler to join their team. You will be part of the industrial operations supporting production and maintenance teams. The ideal candidate will demonstrate reliability, teamwork, and a strong work ethic, which will align successfully in the organization.

Job Title: General Laborer or Materials Handler

Location: Gwinn, Michigan

Pay Range: $ $18.00 per Hour, +$2.00 per Hour Shift Differential for Nights

Shift:

Day Shift: Sunday, Monday, Tuesday, every other Saturday, 9pm to 9am

Night Shift: Sunday, Monday, Tuesday, every other Saturday, 9am to 9pm

What's the Job?

• Perform duties in an industrial environment such as sweeping, vacuuming, and scrubbing of plant equipment.
  
• Assist in raw material and finished product packaging, handling, and transportation, including operation of mobile equipment like skid steer, forklift, and loader.
  
• Support welding, grinding, and cutting tasks to aid fabrication or maintenance projects.
  
• Operate machinery used in the production process and assist with operational needs.
  
• Handle raw materials and finished products, load and unload delivery trucks manually or with equipment.
  

What's Needed?

• Experience with operation and maintenance of mobile equipment for Materials Handler level.
  
• Ability to work 12-hour shifts in a 24/7 manufacturing environment.
  
• Strong teamwork skills to achieve operational goals safely.
  
• Ability to lift up to 75 pounds.
  
• Willingness to perform winter tasks such as snow shoveling and ice removal.
