    Title: Student Accounts Coordinator

    POSITION SUMMARY
    Coordinates day-to-day financial transactions pertaining to student accounts, account reconciliations and related operations in the Bursar's Office.

    ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS/JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
    Supervises and trains all staff authorized to receive student payments. Processes student refunds both manually and through automated processes. Processes outstanding and stale-dated checks and unclaimed property. Completes and verifies daily banking activities. Responsible for month-end processing tasks. Reconciles accounts on a monthly and yearly basis.

    Prepares and reviews various financial reports. Posts payments to student accounts. Monitors and manages student accounts and processes student statements. Maintains PCI compliance for the College. Assists the director with creating and innovating office processes. Updates departmental webpage. Prepares and maintains the office calendar. Performs other duties as assigned.

    REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
    Associate's degree in accounting, finance, business administration or related field

    At least two (2) years related experience.

    Intermediate computer skills, including proficiency with spreadsheet, word processing and
    cash receipting/accounting applications.

    PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
    Prior experience with account reconciliations and automated processes

    Supervisory experience

    Prior experience working with Ellucian/Banner or in a higher education environment.

    KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES
    Knowledge of basic accounting principles, theory, and practice and the ability to apply accounting principles to routine transactions. Ability to work independently with minimal supervision. Effective decision-making and problem-solving skills. Ability to maintain confidentiality. Ability to balance competing priorities and juggle multiple assignments simultaneously. Ability to establish and maintain effective professional relationships with a diverse group of individuals, both internal and external.

    Rate of Pay: $42,601 - $53,251 depending on experience
