    Summary
    Responsible for kitting ingredients and packaging materials (consumables) to support Production.

    Daily monitoring and upkeep of the ingredients and packaging in the staging areas to include reconciling quantity of issuance and locating/removing shelf-life sensitive material.

    Works with Inventory Supervisor to support Production Operations. The Inventory Materials Expeditor must practice and demonstrate safety on a consistent basis throughout their employment with the Company.


    Job Duties and Responsibilities

    Kits and releases all jobs to production as directed.

    Sorts, posts, and enter data into the WMS such as inventory records, batch work orders, and other production control data.

    Keep records of the number of units kitted and transferred to production as well as the number of batch work orders completed.

    Review stock levels, consumption rates, and production schedules to determine restocking requirements.

    Utilize hand scanners and computers to input ingredients and packaging materials transferred to Production against the correct batch work orders.

    Responsible for controlling the storage and movement of all inventory within the ingredient and packaging staging area.

    Verifies and confirms the recording of all ingredient and packaging materials entry and exit transactions in our WMS system.

    Operates material handling equipment to include forklifts, pallet jacks, shrink wrap machines, order pickers, etc. as needed.
    Performs other clerical tasks as required.

    Basic knowledge of warehouse operations procedures
    Written and verbal communication skills
    Problem-solving skills

    People skills
    Safe Quality Foods (SQF) standards preferred
    Proficiency in Current Computer Applications

    Qualifications

    • High school diploma or G.E.D. is required.
    • At least 1-year previous warehouse or related experience is preferred.

    Supervisory Responsibility
    This position does not have any supervisory responsibilities.


    Work Environment

    The work environment can range from extremely cold (zero degrees) upwards of eighty-ninety degrees in the warehouse, although the main warehouse is climate controlled.

    The work environment is typically noisy with regular amounts of machine noise including but not limited to typical sounds from forklifts, freight trucks, high lifts, and other manufacturing-related machinery.

    The smell of related chemicals and lubricants may occur.


    Physical Demands

    The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.

    The employee is regularly required to be able to bend, stand, reach, or lift. The employee is required to be able to lift items on a regular basis, up to 50 pounds.


    Work Authorization

    If hired, all employees are required to submit proof of eligibility to work in the United States within 72 hours of their start date.
