    ABC is looking for a dedicated, dog loving individual to become a canine handler in our pest control department This is a very unique position

    Pest Control Experience not necessary We offer paid Pest Control training

    YOU MUST BE ABLE TO SAFELY HOUSE AND CARE FOR A SCENT DETECTION DOG AS WELL AS BE WILLING TO EXERCISE THE CANINE OUTSIDE THE WORK ENVIRONMENT AND TRANSPORT CANINE TO THE VET FOR CHECKUPS

    Ideal candidates will be

    Canine Handler Job Description:

    • Inspect and identify pest issues such as bedbugs and other common household pests. Communicate effective solutions for issues identified.
    • Treat pest issues in homes and businesses.
    • Make presentations and perform Canine exercises in front of groups of people for demonstration purposes.
    • Provide independent calibration trials on a daily basis.
    • Attend weekly calibration trials with a third party agent.
    Requirements:

    Canine Handler Qualification:

    • Must be 21 years of age
    • Must be able to pass a background check
    • Must have a valid driver's license with a clean driving record
    • Must be authorized to work in the United States
    • Must complete the Bedbug correspondence course through Purdue University within 6 months of employment.
    • Must obtain a Pest Control Technician License within 1 year of employment.
    • Must obtain a Certified Applicators License with 2 years of employment.
