Summary You will serve as a HUMAN RESOURCES ASSISTANT (MILITARY) in the Navy Recruiting Command of NRD MINNEAPOLIS. Responsibilities You will serve as an initial reviewer of eligibility for naval service utilizing applicable directives and regulations. You will identify gaps or inconsistencies in human resources records. You will review data in a human resources information system for completeness. You will respond to customer inquiries by researching human resources rules or regulations.

Requirements Conditions of Employment Qualifications Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-04 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector.

Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Maintaining records to ensure they are accurate and up to date; 2) Using automated systems to perform administrative support functions (i.e.

reviewing information for discrepancies, maintain databases, and preparing reports, and correspondence); and 3) Utilizing standard office equipment (i.e., scanners, copiers, fax machines, and office automation systems) to perform a substantial range of office automation support functions.

Human Resources Assistance Series Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., professional, philanthropic, religious, spiritual, community, student, social).

Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment.

Education In lieu of general/specialized experience, you may qualify with the following education or combination of both education and experience:

Successful completion of at least four full academic years of education above high school or A combination of experience and education as described above that equates to one year of experience A transcript must be submitted with your application if qualifying using education.
