Class Summary
Performs routine clerical work involving related office tasks of a standardized nature.
Representative Work Functions and Responsibilities
Individual will perform responsible clerical work involving related office tasks of a varied nature. Organize, sort, verify and scan documents into Laserfiche; run and filter reports; coordinate workflow and filing system for active and inactive files; complete database management; complete records management for the storage and destructions of files; operates standard office machines and equipment. Perform other job duties requiring skills, knowledge and physical requirements as demanded by those duties described or less. Individual assignments will be determined by the supervisor based on then current workloads and department needs.
Performance Standards
Effectively coordinates and performs all duties, scan documents, cordially receives telephone inquiries; clearly communicates information; accurately files correspondence, maintains records.
Minimum Qualifications
High school or GED or any equivalent combination of experience and training which provides the required knowledge, skills and abilities listed above and associated with such positions as receptionist, office clerk, or office assistant.
Must have, or obtain, a current and valid Virginia or North Carolina driver's license in accordance with Virginia of North Carolina DMV driver's license eligibility requirements.
Special Requirements
All appointees may be expected to work hours in excess of their normally scheduled hours in response to short-term department needs and/or City-wide emergencies.

Physical Requirements
