- Collaborate with operations management and customer contacts on railway networks to foster continuous enhancements and establish strong, productive relationships.
- Implement the Field Interaction program to enhance engagement and promote a culture of Safety Excellence among the safety team and operations management.
- Conduct audits to guarantee compliance with safety and environmental regulations, operational procedures, and governmental standards.
- Address safety issues promptly and provide leadership support to resolve performance issues effectively.
- Review and approve new products and assess existing ones, collaborating with the Engineering team on Prevention Through Design efforts.
- Responsible for recruitment, onboarding, coaching, mentoring, performance appraisals, and ongoing skill assessments of the field safety team.
- Regularly evaluate performance metrics to gauge productivity, goal attainment, and areas for enhancement.

KEY ROLE & RESPONSIBILITIES:
The position of North American EHS Field Safety Manager plays a crucial role in ensuring a secure and efficient work environment for the LORAM field workforce across North America, encompassing operations in the USA, Canada, and Mexico. This role oversees the North American field safety team, spearheading the development, execution, and reinforcement of safety initiatives, policies, and regulations for the mobile workforce in close collaboration with field operations units. By focusing on measuring performance, training, and motivating the field safety team, as well as fostering effective partnerships with internal and external stakeholders, the role aims to cultivate a culture of Safety Excellence aligned with Loram values. The ultimate goal is to achieve top-tier safety performance and exceptional customer satisfaction.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Education: Master's degree in EHS or Business Administration
Licenses/Certifications: Certified Safety Professional (CSP)
WORKING CONDITIONS:
This role involves various physical demands, including deskwork, walking, computer usage, occasional lifting up to 30 lbs., extensive travel, and exposure to diverse conditions during equipment inspections in a railroad environment.
