    Welcome to the Mount Pleasant School District

    Mount Pleasant School District is a Transitional Kindergarten through 8th Grade district with three Elementary Schools, one Middle School, and one Transitional Kindergarten through 8th Grade Dependent Charter School. Nestled in the East Foothills of San Jose, it prepares about 1,500 students for high school, college, and careers.

    The multitude of cultures, ethnic groups, and languages makes Mount Pleasant School District a rich atmosphere in which to learn, grow, and work. Parents and children take pride in their community and work together with the schools at all levels.

    Job Summary

    The Personnel & Credential Specialist is the bridge between employer and employee. This individual is on top of managing data and new information, and will regularly interact with staff and external contacts. They are familiar with laws and regulations, efficient communicators who can assist anyone with inquiries. They are motivating, motivated, and ready to learn something new everyday.

    It is preferred that the Personnel & Credential Specialist be bilingual, especially in Spanish. They should have an educational and/or professional background in human resources. Experience with a public environment for this type of work and with a diverse community is a must-have.

    Requirements / Qualifications

    - Minimum of an undergraduate degree in Human Resources or Business Administration (or related Education and Certification)
    - Valid California Driver's License
    - TB test result valid within last 4 years
    - Fingerprint/Criminal Justice clearance
    - Passing Office Suite and Personnel & Risk Management Compliance tests
