    Duration: Full-time, 6-12 month contract will be working more than 40hr weeks

    Rate: 30hr-35hr

    About Role:

    One of our engineer consulting client's that manages projects for various government and commercial industries- is working on a project installing a new system in a ship for the coast guard. It's a 6-12 month project, with the potential to go perm with company after project.

    This role will be assisting in overseeing that installation. The firm is in Chesapeake, VA but the project is in Mobile, AL so that is where you will be for the duration of contract. They pay for all travel to and from mobile, so if you go home on weekends etc. and pay for per diem, housing and provide vehicle. You are also eligible for benefits while on contract and pay is around 35hr depending on experience etc. need to be clearance eligible

    Duties:

    Develop ship alteration packages including work items, drawings, and independent cost estimates.

    Review and update work packages for modernization activities.

    Conduct ship-checks.

    Analyze data, perform studies, and develop technical reports for material readiness on marine and mechanical systems.

    Support analysis and design of fluid systems, steam main propulsion, diesel generators, auxiliary systems, HVAC, deck machinery, modeling of mechanical systems, and other marine and mechanical engineering functions.

    Attend shipyard availabilities for extended periods to support Condition Found Reports (CFR) review, support Request for Proposal development, attend inspections develop inspection reports, attend daily and weekly production meetings, develop completion estimates for tasking and update schedule adherence, and other shipyard support activities for the service life extension program.

    Must Haves:

    • Bach Degree
    • 5 years relatable experience (maintenance, design, project management, engineering)
    • Must qualify for and apply for a Confidential Security Clearance
    • Must be a US citizen
