    Job Title: Cuisine Clerk Lead (Customer Service)

    Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

    Operational:
    • Assist in receiving and unloading merchandise with accuracy and efficiency.
    • Price items accurately and maintain proper placement.
    • Ensure shelves and displays are fully stocked and faced for maximum appeal.
    • Rotate perishable merchandise and manage damaged products effectively.
    • Maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards according to store policy and regulations.
    • Monitor equipment and report any maintenance issues promptly.
    Leadership:
    • Support training initiatives and assist in personnel development.
    • Provide prompt and courteous service to all customers.
    • Remain vigilant and report any security concerns to management.
    • Communicate personnel situations or policy violations to the store manager.
    Safety:
    • Respond promptly to emergencies and safety hazards.
    • Perform any other assigned duties to ensure a safe environment for all.

    Qualifications:
    • High school diploma or equivalent (GED).
    • Age 18 or older to handle alcoholic beverage transactions (California state law).
    • Previous customer service experience preferred
    • Language and Math Ability: Read, write, and perform basic math accurately.
    • Food Handler Certification required. (Available upon hire.)
    Physical Requirements: To successfully perform essential job functions, employees must:
    • Ability to hear, speak and understand the spoken word in order to respond promptly to pages for assistance, to accommodate verbal requests from customers for information or assistance, to answer telephones, and to be able to communicate effectively with others.
    • Regularly stand and use hands for handling, fingering, or feeling objects, tools, or controls, engaging in repetitive motions.
    • Frequently walk, talk, or hear, and reach with hands and arms; occasionally crouch or kneel.
    • Occasionally lift up to 50 pounds of supplies and frequently exert or lift negligible amounts of weight.
    • Have specific vision abilities, including close vision and the ability to adjust focus for verifying invoices and other written documents.
    • Perform tasks such as sweeping, mopping floors, lifting and carrying trash containers for outside disposal.
    • Demonstrate sufficient physical mobility to respond quickly to emergencies and cleanup requests.
    • Tolerate moderate amounts of dust and chemical fumes during routine housekeeping duties.
