    As a Registered Nurse (RN) in theoperating room (OR),you will become apart of our family and experience one of the most inclusive,well-rounded, and prosperous training programs. You will workalongside seasoned nurses who are eager to educate and coach newgraduates. What to expect during your residency program:

    •A successful coach will be available24/7.

    •Weekly check-ins to ensure personal andprofessional goals aremet.

    •6months of orientation (New and experiencedRNs).

    •Personal assessments todetermine areasfor growth andopportunity.

    Responsibilities:

    • Participates in a residencycurriculum based on surgery core learningneeds.
    • Provides direct nursing care, alongsidea coach, in accordance with established policies, procedures andprotocols of the healthcareorganization.
    • Establishes and revisespriorities for patient care activities based on; acuity of need,patient preference, and resourceavailability.
    • Initiates and maintainsinterventions to assure continuity of safe and effective care forpatients.
    • Responds to data indicating risk toindividual's health and initiates action to correct, reduce, orprevent the risk.
    • Seeks supervision,consultation, assistance when unable to perform safely andindependently.
    • Complies with establishedhospital and department personnelpolicies.
    • Uses communication strategies thatare intended to achieve desirable outcomes and a perception ofsatisfaction by those involved.
    • Documents inpatient's medical record according to establishedguidelines.
    • Other duties asassigned.

    Education:

    • Graduate from an accreditedschool of professional nursing.
    • BSNpreferred

    Certifications:

    • Current state licensure asa Registered Nurse (RN).
    • Basic LifeSupport (BLS) through American Heart Association(AHA)

    Complexityof Work:

    • Requires criticalthinking skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work withminimal supervision.
    • Must be able to work in astressful environment and take appropriateaction.

    WorkExperience:

    • New grad or lessthan one year RN work experience or if experience RN moving fromnon-inpatient to acute direct care clinical inpatient setting withless than one year current acute direct patient care RNexperience.

    PhysicalRequirements:

    • Requires fullrange of body motion including handling and lifting patient, manualand finger dexterity, and eye-handcoordination.
    • Requires standing and walking forextended periods of time.
    • Requires correctedvision and hearing to normal range.
    • Requiresworking under stressful conditions and irregularhours.
    • Exposure to communicable diseases and/orbody fluids.
    • Medium Work - Exerting 20 to 50pounds of force occasionally, and/or 10 to 25 pounds of forcefrequently, and/or greater than negligible up to 10 pounds of forceconstantly to move objects.
    • Physical Demandrequirements are in excess of those for LightWork.

    PersonalProtective Equipment:

    • Follows StandardPrecautions using personal protective equipment as required forprocedures.
