    Job Description SummaryManages and oversees regional and or local transportation-management programs and systems to ensure the efficient movement of product and goods.Manages and oversees regional and or local transportation programs in accordance with the organization's policies and budget constraints.Develops and manages relationships with customers, vendors, contractors, and others to provide a transportation and logistics network that enables the organization to reach established transportation and logistics goals.Manage regional and or local inbound and outbound transportation networks.Manage transportation providers including LTL, Parcel, 3PL's Provide costs benefit savings analysis which incorporates the Total Landed Cost method which includes a NPV analysis of inventory compared to logistics savings.Provide 24/7 hour support for logistics crisis support.Identifies and leads regional or local costs savings initiatives by identification, development, coordination and execution of the cost save initiatives.Lead root cause analysis for transportation service provider failures and execution of accountability for correction actions.

    Job Description
    Communicate with supply chain planners to forecast demand or create supply plans that ensure availability of materials or products.
    Monitor forecasts and quotas to identify changes or to determine their effect on supply chain activities.
    Implement new or improved supply chain processes.
    Participate in the coordination of engineering changes, product line extensions, or new product launches to ensure orderly and timely transitions in material or production flow.
    Select transportation routes to maximize economy by combining shipments or consolidating warehousing and distribution.
    Collaborate with other departments, such as procurement, engineering, and quality assurance, to identify or qualify new suppliers.
    Participate in the implementation of plant warehousing strategies for production materials or finished products.
    Develop a inbound and outbound transportation network with focus on cycle time, cost and quality of service. Ensure lowest cost lane segments for the level of cycle time.
    Provide Total Landed Cost estimates to internal customers using the TLC or CR system.
    Meet or exceed budgeted savings target goals.
    Develop lane level budgets with each responsible plant.
    Manage audit findings and implement changes to effect improved process on audit findings.
    Manage, Train, mentor, support logistics and operations teams on logistics processes, procedures and systems.
    Manage carrier performance, including root cause analysis to solve carrier related problems.
    Identify, plan, asses and execute transportation risk contingency counter-measures and alerts.
    Leads or participates in transportation and logistics sourcing iniatives.
    All other duties as assigned.

    Required Skills and Education
    Bachelor of Science in business, transportation, supply chain management, or any other related experience
    Seven years of experience in supply chain
    Previous experience managing truck load/vans/flatbeds lanes
    Previous experience working in a carrier environment
    International Transportation/Logistics expe
