    Description

    Ascend partners with Highland Rivers Behavioral Health, Georgia's largest Community Service Board (CSB), to staff clinical and non-clinical jobs in behavioral health. Being part of our team and working in a CSB means you're helping individuals and families otherwise unable to access treatment from private providers to address healthcare challenges associated with mental illness, intellectual/developmental disabilities, and addictive diseases. You'll be working with purpose to make a difference in the lives of people who need you most. Each of our jobs will work within a State Community Service Board facility.

    • Schedule appointments with strict adherence to current processes in an effort to best serve our individuals, with reimbursement for service being a priority.
    • Status appointments accurately and promptly.
    • Process telephone calls and messages promptly with strict adherence to confidentiality, policies, and procedures.
    • Enter data, documents, and relevant interactions with individuals served in a concise and thorough manner in electronic health record.
    • Be responsible for collecting monies due to HRH at time of service.
    • Provide accurate and thorough information on how to best access HRH services to all individuals, community members and visitors.
    • Must be customer service oriented
    • Demonstrates effective problem solving skills
    • Promptly answers, screens and processes telephone inquiries with strict adherence to confidentiality and policies and procedures
    • Schedule, reschedule and cancel appointments as needed
    • Return all telephone messages in a timely manner
    • Provides information on HRH programs
    • Collects and enters the information of individuals served into the EHR system in a concise, thorough and accurate manner
    • If applicable, ensures individuals are referred to the clinical team for triage.
    • Responds to irate individuals in a calm and professional manner
    • Maintain current and up to date data concerning provider schedules, accepted insurance plans, and any pertinent information
    • Scan paper documents in a timely manner.
    • Checks in/out all individuals served in a timely manner.
    • Completes the financial process accurately and in a timely manner
    • Upholds positive interpersonal relations among all team members..
    • Use initiative and good, sound judgment.
    All other duties as assigned

    Requirements

    High School Diploma or GED

    2 years experience in customer service, office experience and computer skills,

    1 year experience working in a medical or behavioral health office preferred

    Must be able to pass an intensive criminal background investigation
