- Develop, evaluate, improve, and document the manufacturing process.
- Develop and implement process techniques and procedures into manufacturing workflow.
- Analyze manufacturing processes continually for the enhancements of quality, cost reduction, and throughout.
- Estimate staffing requirements, production times, and relative cost to provide data for operational decisions.
- Work closely with manufacturing department to develop, coordinate, and implement technical training for employees.
- Design and develop manufacturing processes for enhancements, product changes, and new products, and related fixtures and tooling that are consistent with zero defect level and low product cost.

Description
JOB SUMMARY
Work as a liaison between the contract engineering and production departments to create, document, develop, and implement procedures required to assemble, test, process, and manufacture elevators, elevator systems, and related components. This position exercises discretion and independent judgement with respect to matters of significance.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS
Education: Bachelors in Manufacturing, Mechanical or Industrial Engineering or related field
Experience: Minimum 5 years in manufacturing engineering in an industrial setting
Must understand engineering theory and practices
Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills
Understanding of Lean Manufacturing principles, experience with Kaizen events, Lean Six Sigma or experience with a continuous improvement program
Effective verbal and written communication skills
Proficient with MS Word, Excel and Power Point
Strong math and mechanical skills
