    Job SummaryWith limited direction, assists multiple Mortgage Consultants (MC's) in all aspects of the loan application and assists through the mortgage loan process through closing, funding, and sale.

    Assists mortgage originators in gathering documents, perfecting loan application, also assisting operations and processors when needed. Assists in IT and marketing support when needed.
    Essential Duties and Responsibilities

    • Assist the MC's in their accountability for individual loan production goals, loan profitability, loan structuring and compliance.
    • Assists the MC in managing the client and Financial Advisor relationships with the Bank.
    • Assist MC with analysis of requested loan terms to ensure conformity to all guidelines.
    • Help MC manage ongoing communications with the Financial Advisor and Banking Consultant through the loan process.
    • Work with processing team for documentation collection, outside vendor management, and regulatory compliance. Comply with all federal, state laws, as well as internal policies and procedures.
    • Troubleshoot and resolve any issues that arise during the loan process.
    • Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned

    Qualifications:
    Knowledge, Skills, and AbilitieKnowledge of

    • Principles, practices, and procedures of retail lending.
    • RJ Bank, Fannie Mae, Federal regulatory requirements, and state regulatory requirements.
    • Principles and methods for promoting and selling products or services.
    • Principles and processes for providing customer and personal services. This includes customer needs assessment, meeting quality standards for services, and evaluation of customer satisfaction.
    Skill in

    • Operating standard office equipment and using required software applications to produce correspondence, reports, electronic communication, spreadsheets, and databases.
    • Using appropriate interpersonal styles to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing, with all organizational levels.
    • Interacting with Financial Advisors, clients and associates and third party professionals to the mortgage process.
    • Basic public speaking skills.
    • Minimal networking in the community to effectively market Raymond James Bank.
    • Providing a high level of customer service in the spirit of Raymond James' Service 1st commitment.
    • Identifying the needs of customers through effective questioning and listening techniques.
    Ability to

    • Build professional relationships.
    • Learn regulatory, internal, and investor guidelines.
    • Clearly communicate regarding decisions, changes, and other relevant information.
    • Establish and maintain effective working relationships with others.

    Educational/Previous Experience Requirements

    • Bachelor's Degree and a minimum of two (2) years' experience in a Sales Assistant role or a verifiable sales assistant track record sufficient to meet RJ Bank production goals.

    • Any equivalent combination of experience, education, and/or training approved by Human Resources.
    Licenses/Certifications

    • Mortgage certification or broker's license preferred.
