    DIRECTOR OF QUALITY- Onsite

    About this Role:

    We're looking for a Director of Quality to lead our Quality Management System (QMS) strategy as part of our Daniel Defense Excellence (DDX) operating model. This role reports to the Chief Operating Officer (COO).


    ‣ Ensure alignment between QMS standards day-to-day operational execution.Define quality policies controls that enable repeatable processes long-term scalability.Partner Transformation leadership improvement initiatives stable capable processes.Process Capability Built-In Quality Lead transition detection-based quality prevention capability-driven execution.Partner Operations Engineering define critical-to-quality characteristics ensure processes controlled sustained.Disciplined statistical methods process monitoring control plans manage variation.Govern process qualification validation change management protect process integrity.Use scrap rework cost-poor-quality metrics lagging indicators system health primary success measures.New Product Development Lifecycle Risk Management Partner Engineering New Product Development embed quality risk management early design launch processes.Ensure consistent application audit tools aligned DDX standards.Lead product launches ensuring supplier supplier capability prior production release.Ensure disciplined lifecycle handoff from development manufacturing clear ownership governance.Audit Compliance Serve final authority product release shipment accountable compliance company regulatory documentation reporting support quality function.Quality Leadership Capability Building Lead develop managers engineers technicians system leaders builders.Build Capability across organization through training coaching cross-functional partnership aligned DDX principles.Provide visible environmental health safety principles.Establish standard-setting enabling function within Operations.Responsible commitment demonstration Environmental Health Safety principles policies procedures Provides adequate team members continuously improve 6S Productivity.Other responsibilities deemed appropriate necessary management.

    Requirements:

    1. Bachelors degree required combination related experience education sufficiently perform essential functions job
    2. 10+ years progressive experience Assurance or Management within environments.Working knowledge Lean Six Sigma; Black Belt certification preferred.Certifications CQA CMQ/OE PMP similar preferred.Deep understanding capability variation reduction risk management QMS design.Ability align QMS strategy business objectives.Strong audit governance corrective action leadership skills.Effective leader executive presence.Data-driven thinker.Ability work accordance Company Values must be able wear Personal Protection Equipment position or policy described above.
