Job DescriptionSalary:

We are seeking a Staff Accountant to join our team in Managua, Nicaragua. The ideal candidate will have a bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field, with 3 to 5 years of experience. A master's degree or CPA (Certified Public Accountant) is preferred. Previous experience in accounting or finance roles, particularly in the software industry or a related field, is valuable. Experience with financial statement preparation, tax compliance, and software accounting principles is beneficial.

Responsibilities:

Record and update financial records and issue financial statements and reports.
Manage payments and collections, ensuring compliance with local tax and regulations.
Record financial operations in QuickBooks (ERP).
Prepare monthly financial reconciliations.
Manage vendors and customers.
Coordinate equipment and office maintenance.
Conduct periodic inventory of fixed assets.
Support payroll preparation for employees and contractors.
Coordinate with customs broker for monthly declaration of local purchases.
Meet requirements from local governmental entities (taxes, social security, etc.).
Process payments to local vendors.
Perform other related duties as required.

Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or related field.
3 to 5 years of experience.
CPA (Certified Public Accountant) preferred.
Previous experience in accounting or finance, especially in software industry or related field.
Knowledge of financial statement preparation, tax compliance, and software accounting principles.
Basic knowledge of International Accounting Standards.
Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office suite.
Intermediate English skills.
Familiarity with local taxes and regulations.
Experience with QuickBooks.
Advanced English skills (preferred).

Preferences (Company / Industry): Experience in technology, telecommunications, or audit firms.
