Job Title: BIM Designer (Mechanical / MEP)

Location: Springville, UT

Reports To: BIM/VDC Manager or Senior Project Engineer

Role Overview

We are seeking a BIM Designer to support commercial mechanical and plumbing projects through detailed 3D modeling and coordination. This role partners closely with project managers, engineers, and field teams to deliver accurate, constructible BIM models that support coordination, prefabrication, and installation.

Key Responsibilities

BIM Modeling & Coordination

• Develop detailed 3D BIM models for mechanical systems including HVAC, piping, and plumbing
• Coordinate models with architectural, structural, and other trades to identify and resolve clashes
• Update and maintain models throughout the project lifecycle based on design and field input

Documentation & Deliverables

• Produce coordinated shop drawings and BIM-based construction documents
• Support fabrication and installation through accurate model exports and drawings
• Maintain model organization, standards, and version control

Collaboration

• Participate in coordination and clash-resolution meetings
• Communicate design intent and constructability considerations through BIM visuals
• Support field teams with model-based problem solving

Quality & Compliance

• Perform clash detection and quality checks using BIM coordination tools
• Ensure models meet project requirements, schedules, and internal standards

Qualifications

Required

• 2+ years of BIM modeling experience in mechanical or MEP construction
• Proficiency in Autodesk Revit
• Working knowledge of HVAC, piping, and/or plumbing systems
• Experience with coordination tools such as Navisworks
• Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities

Preferred

• Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or related field
• Experience supporting prefabrication or field-driven BIM workflows
• Familiarity with AutoCAD and construction documentation standards
