    Requirements

    To be considered for this role, you must:

    • Hold a graduate degree from an accredited RN program or NLN-approved school.
    • Possess a valid BLS certification from the American Heart Association.
    • Hold a current state nursing license or permit to practice nursing in the State of Texas.
    • Demonstrate proficiency in de-escalation techniques within 90 days of hire.
    • Meet ongoing compliance requirements with clinically pertinent competencies.

    Preferred Qualifications

    We prefer candidates with one year of full-time or three years of part-time experience in an acute care setting, preferably holding CCRN, TNCC, or Cardiovascular certification for specialty units.

    Candidates must pass EKG, Blood Gas Analysis, and BKAT exams with a score of at least 85%, with two chances to pass each exam with remediation material available.

    Please note that employment is contingent upon passing above exams and competencies. Experienced critical care nurses may test out of didactic/computer orientation with a score of 85% on the Blood Gas Analysis and BKAT exam.
