The program serves as the principal engineering division responsible for designing and implementing IT systems that enable the Agency to accomplish its mission.
Our client, a trusted partner with over a decade of involvement, focuses on comprehensive technology management, including Microsoft, VMWare, DataCenter Architecture, and Identity and Access Management.
We also prioritize Cloud adoption, specifically AWS/C2S and Azure.You will contribute to the modernization of IT infrastructure through Infrastructure as a Service, Software as a Service, and Platform as a Service offerings, ultimately safeguarding our nation's security.
What you will be working on:
As the Active Directory Engineer/Administrator, you will design, implement, and maintain Active Directory (AD) infrastructure and Azure Active Directory (Azure AD) environments, including Azure AD Connect synchronization; manage and monitor AD domain controllers, Azure AD Connect, and associated services to ensure the overall health and performance of the environment; develop and maintain Group Policy Objects (GPOs) to meet organizational security and compliance requirements as well as perform migrations, upgrades, and decommissioning of AD and Azure AD components, including Azure AD Connect, as needed.
Implement and manage AD Federation Services (AD FS) and Single Sign-On (SSO) solutionsTroubleshoot and resolve complex AD, Azure AD, and Azure AD Connect-related issues, including authentication, authorization, and synchronization, using PowerShell scripting and cmdlets
Implement and manage Privileged Identity Management (PIM) solutions to enhance the security of privileged accounts and reduce potential risks
Leverage PowerShell scripting for automation, administration, and management of both AD and Azure AD environments, including utilizing Azure AD-specific cmdlets
Create and maintain documentation for AD, Azure AD, Azure AD Connect, PIM, and PowerShell-related processes and procedures
Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including network, security, and application development teams, to ensure seamless integration of AD, Azure AD, and PIM services
Develop and implement Identity and Access Management (IAM) strategies, including role-based access control (RBAC), multi-factor authentication (MFA), and privileged access management (PAM)
Monitor and analyze system logs and alerts to identify potential security risks or performance issues, utilizing PowerShell where necessary, and take appropriate action
Participate in on-call rotation to provide after-hours support as needed
Stay current on emerging technologies, best practices, and industry trends related to AD, Azure AD, Azure AD Connect, PIM, and PowerShell, and provide recommendations for improvements and optimizations
Conduct regular audits and generate reports on AD, Azure AD, Azure AD Connect, PIM, and PowerShell usage and compliance, working with internal and external auditors as required
Train and mentor junior team members, sharing knowledge and best practices related to AD, Azure AD, PIM, and PowerShell to support their professional development

What you will bring to us:
Active TS/SCI Clearance with a CI Polygraph
Current DoD IAT II Level certification
Would be nice if you bring the following:
Bachelors Degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a related technical discipline, or the equivalent combination of education, technical training, or work/military experience
4+ years of related experience
Azure AD Connect, Privileged Identity Management, and PowerShell Experience
