    Automation Systems Engineer

    We are searching for an experienced candidate to join our Technology Team in California as a Automation Systems Engineer.

    What You'll Do

    • You will administer Control-M or similar automated scheduling software (e.g., architecture design, configuration & troubleshooting, agent installation and configuration, application upgrades, disaster recovery, vendor interaction, etc.)
    • You will be familiar with installation and support of Control-M agent plugins, including MFT, Database, SAP, and Informatica.
    • You will perform batch job definition, setup, and execution using Control-M or similar automated scheduling software.
    • You will accurately schedule jobs according to programmer job documentation.
    • You will detect, isolate, and identify system/application issues.
    • You will analyze issues in the mainframe and open systems batch environments and provide solutions to NOC and application staff
    • You will train other teams in utilizing Control-M tools for development and self-service environments.
    • Provide after-hours support in an on-call role for the Distributed and MVS batch cycle environments.

    What You'll Need

    • You will need experience with deployment of Control-M High Availability and Disaster Recovery architectures.
    • You will need experience with enterprise OS & industry-standard software packages, including Control-M, BMC TFS, Git, Visual Studio, Linux, PowerShell or other scripting tools, Helix ITSM, ISPF, TSO, MVS, OPS-MVS, JCL, ISPW, Infogix, CA View, CA Deliver, CA OM Web Viewer.
    • You will need a Bachelor's degree in computer science or a related field (or equivalent combination of education and applicable experience).
    • You should be familiar with the design, support, and maintenance of a large enterprise's automated scheduling and change management platforms.
    • You should be familiar with Agile & Kanban methodologies.
    • Working knowledge of TCP, IP, and other network protocols. Familiarity with DNS, DHCP, firewall, and other network services.
    • Effective communication skills are important to work with clients, consultants, and vendors. Strong organizational and leadership abilities are also essential.

    The starting pay range for this position is:

    $104, $139,200.00
