    Description

    The position of Senior Admissions Operations Specialist reports to the Assistance Vice President of Operations for Admissions. This position plays a vital role in complex data coordination and data analysis, using tools such as Banner, Axiom, Reports Manager, and NJ Transfer. Responsible for data integrity and exception reporting. Will troubleshoot and problem-solve any processing issues to ensure continued efficiency and clean data operations. Additionally, this position will, as needed, be an integral part of the overall Admissions team, reviewing applications and travelling to high schools or conferences, and staffing Open Houses or other Admissions events.

    Duties and Responsibilities:

    Helps oversee operation aspects of the undergraduate admissions office. Coordinate the receipt, processing and maintenance of admissions related data, both electronic and paper, including but not limited to: application records, prospective student records and standardized test scores data.

    Assist with general admission duties, including application review, coverage of high school visits and fairs as need to cover conflicts or vacant territories. Representing the admission office at recruitment events such as open house or receptions. Oversight of special projects or populations as assigned including International students

    Assist with daily use and set up of Slate for operations projects including creation of new sources, data cleanup and the streamlining and improvement of processes.

    Required Qualifications:

    Bachelor's degree required; 1-3 years admissions or related experience required.

    - Computer literacy, especially Microsoft Office applications.
    -Demonstrated ability to develop and implement new technologies or services
    -Demonstrated ability to collect and analyze data and use data to evaluate, troubleshoot and problem solve
    -Ability to create, analyze, and present statistical data
    - Knowledge of student recruitment and retention issues at the undergraduate level.
    - Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively with a wide range of constituencies in a diverse community.
    - Flexible schedule/availability for some evening and weekend hours.

    Desired Qualifications:

    -Previous experience with CRM, document imaging software, admissions and/or university information system including Technolutions' Slate and Ellucian's Banner
    -Ability to manage complex processes
    -Demonstrated success in leveraging CRM and student systems to analyze and address complex issues, offering innovative solutions to enhance workflow efficiency

    AD170 - Administrative

    Exempt/Nonexempt: Exempt
