Description

Job Title: Business Analyst

Education:

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related fields
Or 5 years of equivalent work experience

Certification:

Business Analysis certification from a reputable body (e.g. CBAP, PMI-PBA)

Experience:

5+ years as an IT Business Analyst, using Agile and Waterfall methodologies
Proven experience in:
Business and technical requirements analysis
Business process modeling/mapping
Methodology development
Documenting user stories and writing business IT system requirements
Coordinating cross-functional teams and stakeholders
In-depth knowledge of business process design and re-engineering
Strong collaborative and communication skills

Preferred Qualifications:

Certification in Agile or Scrum-based Project Management
ITIL Service Management Foundations Certified
Experience managing projects with large, distributed user bases
Experience managing waterfall projects
Knowledge in other IT areas (e.g. programming, data analytics)

Responsibilities:

Lead or assist in business requirement gathering sessions
Work closely with customers, stakeholders, and IT teams to document business requirements
Develop business analysis documentation (As-Is, To-Be, process models)
Assist Quality Assurance team to ensure requirements are accurately translated into test plans
Develop and lead implementation of business process improvement recommendations
Maintain project artifacts and ensure compliance with standards
Serve as liaison with users and stakeholders
Manage expectations and provide regular briefings to executives
Work independently as part of a larger cross-functional team
