    General Summary:


    Compliance Officer ensures that all company policies and procedures are abided by and adhered to in regard to safety and maintenance.

    The Compliance Officer maintains Merut Construction's compliance with all OSHA, DOT and EPA regulations.
    Essential Functions

    :

    Daily Forms:

    Ensures that all required forms are completed by crews, including but not limited to equipment inspections, fall protection, incident and accident reporting, etc.

    Job Site Inspections /Site Visits and Inspection Notes:

    Observes and records employee adherence and compliance to all Merut Construction and GC (site specific) policies and procedures.
    Site Compliance/Compliance Checklist:

    Ensures the good order of each job site and that all on-site employees are oriented, including location of safety resources and tools.

    Toolbox Talks:

    Performs one toolbox talk, decided upon at beginning of each week by Safety Officer, at each site.
    Chemical Inspections:

    Assists Safety Officer with inspections of used, on-site chemicals to ensure that RFI has SDS forms in place and that crews are correctly handling those materials.

    First Aid/Safety:

    Ensures that all equipment, trucks, and job sites are outfitted with applicable safety/first aid equipment.
    Inspections of Tools and Equipment:

    Removes from service broken or altered tools/equipment for safety reasons. Ensures that all tools/equipment have required safety items.
    Project Photos:

    Takes photos of sites and uploads them to Google drive.
    Tracking—Fall Protection:

    Ensures that fall protection spreadsheets are updated, labeled, and in compliance.
    Tracking—Grounding Equipment:

    Ensures that grounding gloves and cable spreadsheets are updated, labeled, in compliance, and appropriately distributed.
    Garage Safety:

    Labels liquids, OSHA approved walkways, and chemicals. Tracks new chemicals.
    Truck inspections:

    Ensures that all trucks have corresponding tools/supplies per job list. Must meet with drivers to review list.
    Trailer inspections:

    Ensure that all trailers have the corresponding tools/supplies per job list.
    Maintenance Kit Inspections:

    Checks and stocks Equipment Maintenance Kits with appropriate items
    Every Day:

    Answers phone calls, respond to and organize email, and put out fires.
    One Calls:

    Works with PMs to perform online One-Call tickets.
    PPE Distribution:

    Assists Safety Officer in quarterly distribution and also keeps some in truck for emergency situations.
    Fire Extinguisher Checks:

    Performs monthly inspection of fire extinguishers. Completes applicable form in Pronto, as a follow up to the Safety Officer.
    Label All Equipment:

    Ensures that all equipment is labeled with correct number, company logo, and weight if applicable.
    Policy Creating, Revision, and Enforcement:

    Assists HR/Safety/Operations with creation, revision, and maintenance of policies. Updates Company Handbook as necessary.
    Safety Associations:

    Keeps up-to-date with, belongs to, and complies with industry safety associations.
    Secondary Functions:

    Secondary functions include tasks that Compliance Officer may have to perform. Again, this list is illustrative ONLY.
    Responsible for reviewing DVIR's to ensure that trucks are being repaired.
    Responsible for maintaining and updating pertinent and applicable HR and safety-related posters within the office (posters from Personnel Concepts).
    Responsible for assisting with employee clearances when needed.
    Responsibilities:

    Abides by company policies and procedures as laid out in HR and Safety Handbooks.
    Abides by company policies and procedures of all other contractors that Merut Construction is serving/working with.
    Arrives at office/yard on time when scheduled for work.
    Executes a multitude of assignments and utilizes excellent time management skills.
    Maintains "good housekeeping" practices onsite and at RFI headquarters, including daily inventory of tools, disposal of site waste, etc.
    Diligently follows safety and incident reporting procedures of RFI and associated contractors.
    Qualifications (Include but are not limited to):

    Excellent organizational, time management, communication, and interpersonal skills.
    Ability to multitask efficiently and shoulder a multitude of responsibilities.
    Ability to adapt to last minute schedule changes.
    Ability to focus on safety first.
    OSHA 10 at a minimum, but preferably OSHA 30.
    Ability to interact with field employees to ensure that all safety policies and procedures are being adhered to.
    Ability to promote a positive work culture.
    Commitment to quality work and customer service.
    Ability to consistently comply with and meet RFI attendance schedule.
    Ability to work long hours during busy times.
    Solid work history.
    Valid PA driver's license.
    Work Context:


    Job locations for residential work can be up to approximately 30 miles from headquarters and up to approximately 200 miles away for commercial work.
