    We are looking for a Publication & Data Lead to join our Immunology Medical Evidence Strategy team

    About the role

    The Publication & Data Lead's primary responsibility will be to lead the development and execution of the strategic publications plan.

    Who'll you'll work with
    This role will develop, maintain, and apply an appropriate level of disease, therapeutic area & product knowledge to serve as a valuable resource/partner to internal and external stakeholders.

    What you'll do
    Strategic Publications Plan Development and Execution:

    • Develop and maintain deep understanding of therapeutic area and product knowledge
    • Serve as a scientific resource for internal stakeholders
    • Drive the development of the strategic publications plan for the US including all stakeholders to gain relevant insight
    • Manage publication process including planning, review, approval and sign-off with UCB's publication management software
    • Obtain timely endorsement of the yearly SPP Ensures compliance with relevant SOPs
    • Critically review publications to assess overall quality and ensuring that UCB-sponsored publications are published to the highest standards, that all authors and contributors comply with individual journal or congress guidelines
    • Manage external publication agencies
    • Establish relationships and builds credibility with internal and external customers based on exchange related to development of publications
    • Provide medical writing support of abstracts, posters, manuscripts, standard response letters and other content development as needed.

    Medical Congresses and Other Activities:

    • Engage in the planning, coordination, and execution of publications-related congress activities
    • Provide support for scientific training activities and collaborates to deliver new hire and advanced presentations on disease state and product clinical data
    • Lead planning and execution of Medical Publications Initiatives
    • Demonstrate sensitivity to legal and regulatory issues that affect industry-based medical affairs practice
    • Collaborate with Medical Leads providing support as needed
    • Operates at the highest level of UCB compliance and professional standards

    Interested? For this role we're looking for the following education, experience and skills

    • Doctorate (M.D., PharmD., or Ph.D. in scientifically relevant field) is required
    • 3+ years of Medical Affairs experience including 1+ year publications experience in the pharmaceutical industry
    • Relevant therapeutic area (Dermatology and/or Rheumatology) experience strongly preferred
    • Excellent medical writing skills and the ability to analyze/interpret, understand, and summarize highly complex scientific data
    • Proficient literature searching skills
    • Ability to clearly articulate complex scientific concepts in 1:1 and group settings
    • Occasional overnight travel required
