Job Description:

• Performs law enforcement activities of a specified precinct within Brazoria County.

Under general supervision, the Security Bailiff ensures personal safety and security for Judges and courtroom personnel. Key responsibilities include:

1. Screens and searches individuals entering the courtroom to prevent unauthorized items from entering.
2. Maintains order during court proceedings, including custody of in-custody defendants.
3. Makes arrests at direction of Judges, assists with transporting subjects to jail, and verifies accurate documentation.

The ideal candidate will possess strong communication skills, initiative, discretion, decision-making abilities under established procedures,guidelines,rules.Skill also includes problem-solving,customer service provision,and proficiency with firearms. Requirements include current Texas Peace Officer license,TIC/NCI certification,a valid driver's license,no felony convictions,moral turpitude or family violence misdemeanor convictions,delinquent taxpayer status,u.s.citizenship (born or naturalized) ,honorable military discharge,buy regulation uniforms operational cell phone good mental physical health
