    In the role of Executive Director, AI, based in a leading healthcare technology firm, the focus is on the seamless integration of artificial intelligence across various business functions to unify efforts towards enhancing key diagnostic solutions. With a critical emphasis on collaborative strategies across technical and non-technical teams, this position aims to spearhead the company's AI initiatives. Preferred candidates will bring a rich background in AI application within oncology-focused biotech or diagnostics, showcasing a blend of technical prowess and strategic leadership. This individual contributor role, with potential for team leadership, seeks a visionary with a deep understanding of AI's potential in healthcare, ready to drive innovation and operational excellence within a dynamic, mission-driven environment.

    As an Executive Director - AI Strategy you will:

    • Identify opportunities across the business to implement and optimize AI solutions by leading development and delivery of programs, delivering in-line with business objectives with the ultimate aim of improving patient outcomes
    • Collaborate cross-functionally overseeing implementation of AI products across all phases from research and product development through to commercialization and beyond
    • Hold strategic oversight for all aspects of AI development inclusive of budget management and allocation, objective setting, resource planning and future prospecting
    • Ensure all AI activities and solutions implemented are in-line with necessary regulatory standards

    To be successful in the role you will:

    • Hold an enhanced degree (MSc or PhD) in Computer Science, Machine Learning or related
    • Be a proven leader with a track record of delivering novel AI solutions in the biotech or diagnostic space
    • Have expertise across AI/ML applications including Deep Learning and NLP, and be skilled with a range of tools & languages inclusive of Python, PyTorch and Tensorflow

    The role is ideally hybrid-based in the California area, however remote applications will be considered.
