PRIMARY FUNCTION: The Automotive Painter Prepper will assist the painter with prep, mask, and match color vehicles in accordance with factory and dealership specifications.  The Paint Prepper plays a key role in delivering our promise of speed, quality, and customer satisfaction.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTION/DUTIES:

• Check body work and primer repair areas.
• Prepare vehicles for paint application.
• Communicate directly with the Estimator or painter on any parts and additional supplies needed.
• Maintenance of the Spray Booth, mixing room, compressors, and dryers.
• Keep company in good standing with EPA standards.
• Keeps personal work area organized.
• Buff refinished vehicles. 

MINIMUM WORK EXPERIENCE/EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS: 

• Knowledge of manufacturers' repair processes.
• Must maintain a valid state driver's license. 

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS/WORK ENVIRONMENT: 

• Extended periods of standing.
• Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds at times. 
• May be exposed to fumes, chemicals, high levels of dust and noise in repair center.
• Must be able to wear protective equipment, including respirator.
