    Supply Chain Intern

    Supply Chain & Operations Internship - Dairy Foods Research & Development

    As a Supply Chain & Operations - Dairy Foods Research & Development Intern, you will get broad exposure to our Supply Chain organization and leadership team. Our interns gain invaluable job experience, career development and leadership opportunities. You will receive both technical and leadership training to enhance your skill set. Interns work with cross-functional teams to drive performance improvements and receive a great introduction to our collaborative, fun and engaging culture.

    Internships are available at our headquarters location in Arden Hills, MN. We offer our interns a competitive wage, paid relocation, and a competitive housing stipend.

    RESEARCH and DEVELOPMENT

    The Food Chemistry/Food Microbiology teams provide foundational scientific knowledge of current and future products. Using a wide array of technologies, we partner with product development teams to investigate new products and ingredients, understand and improve our manufacturing processes, shorten product development times, look for cost savings, and improve sustainability. You'll get hands on experience testing and developing methods for material characterization using rheology, chromatography, microscopy, spectroscopy, and more.

    General Qualifications

    • Currently pursuing a bachelor's degree in chemistry, biochemistry, biology, food science, biological engineering, or related fields of study
    • Minimum 3.0 G.P.A.
    • Demonstrated leadership in school/academic/industry related clubs
    • Previous experience within a laboratory environment is preferred
    • Ability to relocate to the Minneapolis/St. Paul area during May - August 2022 timeframe
    Physical Qualifications

    When working in a laboratory environment, you will be:
    • Walking, standing and engaging in movement throughout the day
    • Occasionally to frequently be required to lift items weighing up to 50 lbs.
    • Certain routine and non-routine duties also may involve a variety of physical activities including:
    • standing, bending, and lifting
    • turning, twisting, pushing, and pulling
    • working in a production pilot plant environment.
    • Ability to work overtime
    You may be required to wear personal protective equipment such as:
    • Safety glasses
    • Safety gloves
    • Hearing protection
    • Protective footwear
    • Protective clothing or uniforms
