    We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Supply Chain Strategist and Operations Coordinator to join our team. In this multifaceted role, you will play a pivotal part in our organization's success by overseeing supply chain operations, executing strategic initiatives, and serving as the primary purchaser for the company.

    Primary Function: As a hands-on professional, your primary function will encompass the critical tasks of demand planning, ensuring the seamless flow of products, optimizing inventory management, enhancing operational efficiency, and serving as the main purchaser for the company. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to drive innovation and process improvement, all while maintaining a laser focus on meeting customer demand, achieving operational excellence, and procuring materials, components, supplies, equipment, and services at the most favorable costs and terms consistent with standards of quality, stock level, and manufacturing/delivery schedules, while developing and implementing strategies to enhance and optimize the process.

    DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

    1. Sourcing and Procurement: Identify, select, and negotiate with suppliers for raw materials used in making brushes, finished goods, packaging and shipping supplies, maintenance, office, and janitorial supplies. Initiate, monitor, and maintain good business relationships with all vendors. Review and approve purchase requisitions and maintain procedures for processing purchase orders, receiving documents and records, and maintains vendor catalogs, literature, and price lists. Maintain catalog file for reference.

    2. Demand Forecasting: Develop and maintain accurate demand forecasts by analyzing historical data, market trends, and customer feedback to anticipate product requirements.

    3. Inventory Management: Optimize inventory levels to ensure efficient stock management while balancing the costs associated with carrying excess inventory.

    4. Lead Time Management: Monitor supplier lead times and work closely with vendors to reduce lead times and ensure on-time deliveries.

    5. Risk Assessment: Identify and mitigate supply chain risks, such as potential shortages or disruptions, to ensure continuous production.

    6. Quality Control: Ensure that purchased materials and components meet quality standards and specifications, conducting quality checks and inspections as needed.

    7. Performance Metrics: Establish and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) related to demand planning and purchasing activities to track progress and identify areas for improvement.

    8. Supply Chain Optimization: Ensure an efficient and smooth flow of materials from suppliers to production, considering aspects like inventory management, logistics, and cost-effectiveness. Maintain purchasing records such as computerized purchase order and receiving files.

    9. Collaboration with Operations: Work closely with the operations team to align procurement activities with production schedules, quality control measures, and meeting production targets.

    10. Strategic Planning: Develop and implement strategies to enhance the efficiency, cost-effectiveness, and quality of the entire supply chain process. Keep informed on new developments relative to products, materials, supplies, tools, and services also make recommendations to reduce costs, improve methods, and improve service. Provide comparative cost and delivery data.

    11. Continuous Improvement: Analyze supply chain performance, identifying areas for improvement, and implementing changes to enhance overall operations.

    12. Reporting: Prepare and present reports to management on key procurement and demand planning metrics, highlighting achievements and challenges

    13. Compliance: Adhere to relevant laws, regulations, and company policies in procurement and supply chain operations.

    JOB QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS:

    • Education: A bachelor's degree in business, supply chain management, operations management, logistics, or a related field. A master's degree or relevant certifications (such as Certified Supply Chain Professional - CSCP) could be a plus.
    • Experience: Several years of experience in procurement, strategic sourcing, or supply chain management, preferably within the consumer goods or manufacturing industry. Experience specifically in the brush industry could be highly advantageous.
    • Strategic Thinking: Proven experience in developing and implementing supply chain strategies that optimize efficiency, reduce costs, and improve quality.
    • Operations Knowledge: Understanding of manufacturing operations and their integration with supply chain functions.
    • Analytical Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to assess supply chain performance, identify areas for improvement, and implement solutions.
    • Communication and Collaboration: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams, including operations, finance, and suppliers.
    • Technology Proficiency: Familiarity with supply chain management software and tools (e.g., ERP systems, inventory management software, data analytics tools).
    • Adaptability and Initiative: Ability to adapt to changing situations and take the initiative in driving process improvements within the supply chain and operations.
    • Project Management: Experience in project management, overseeing complex processes, and implementing change in a structured manner.
