    Job DescriptionThe Vice President of Revenue Cycle provides strategic leadership in Revenue Cycle operations and drives results across the end-to-end revenue cycle from scheduling through resolution of patient liabilities.

    This individual will be responsible for overall oversight of the revenue management cycle to optimize billing processes, coding, reimbursement, and revenue cycle operations.

    Specifically, this leader will lead teams in best practices, provide expertise, and develop systematic and scalable processes for fee-for-service billing and collections.

    In addition, this leader will develop tools, reporting, dashboards, and reports which allow for scale, compliance, efficiency, and efficacy across the revenue cycle.

    This individual will also be responsible for evaluating and understanding regulatory changes related to revenue cycle, payer-specific rules, and ensure that communication to both the Executive Team and related departments at the Company about revenue cycle operations is up to date.

    Responsibilities will span the revenue cycle for entities owned by Astrana Health as well as practices affiliated with Astrana Health or its clients across multiple states.

    ResponsibilitiesDirect responsibility and oversight of medical practice billing, collections from patients and third-party payers, accounts receivable and cash management, fee-for-service and value-based payments, physician business office operations, and Health Information Management (HIM).Direct responsibility of oversight of coding and HEDIS coding in addition CPT, HCPCS, ICD10 coding primary care and specialty care.

    Must understand and oversee how to include quality through coding. Establishes effective communication between coders and providers to address any deficiencies.
    Develops and implements revenue cycle strategies and best practices to optimize financial performance and minimize revenue leakage.
    Analyze revenue cycle data to identify trends and opportunities for process improvement and revenue growth.

    The Vice President of Revenue Cycle works with key stakeholders across all medical groups as well as internal and external resources to optimize revenue cycle operations and ensure financial and organizational goals are met.

    Build the coding and billing departments, taking on internal and external clients across multiple states.
    Required QualificationsBachelors Degree Health Care Administration, Business Administration, or related field preferred.
    Certified coder or certified biller preferred.
    Minimum of ten (10) years of revenue cycle management experience within a physician group integrated multi-site, multi-state health system.

    Minimum of seven (7) years of experience within a system-level leadership capacity, including demonstrated success in leading revenue cycle operations within physician business offices, as well as outsourced and offshore resources.

    Experience with primary care and many types of specialty billing.
    Proven track record of successfully implementing revenue cycle improvement and achieving financial targets.
    Ability to build and maintain effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
    Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
    In-depth knowledge and experience working with eClinicalWorks, Elation and AdvancedMD a plus.
    Ability to travel as required.
