    Controls Engineer Contractor
    • Walker, MichiganDISHER is working with a medical device manufacturer in Walker, MI in need of a contract Controls Engineer.
    This position is responsible for managing and supporting automation equipment for production of medical devices, in addition to validation of new inspections or processes.

    This position will be responsible for production support in the Grand Rapids facility, primarily updating automation programs and equipment while working with product and manufacturing engineers to validate and implement enhancements or new equipment.

    What you will get to do:

    Assist in leading the development and implementation of automated assembly equipment at the Walker, MI manufacturing facilityReview, modify, and approve validation documents per FDA guidelines for equipment design and functionalityCreate and modify existing automation equipment based on ISO standardsAssist in manufacturing quality, mechanical design, and DOE activities with engineering for product prototyping and testing.

    Assist in maintaining FDA, GMP, and ISO Compliance.


    What will make you successful:


    Bachelor's Degree in manufacturing, industrial, or mechanical engineering 8+ years of experience with PLC and HMI programing and equipment, utilizing vision systems integrated with camera systems and serversProficiency within Allen Bradley PLC's and Cognex vision systemsAbility to troubleshoot and root cause production issues related to mechanical machine interactions or vision systemsDISHERis a nationally recognized engineering, manufacturing technology, and technical recruiting firm based in Zeeland, Michigan.
