Healthcare United is currently seeking a skilled, board-certified gastroenterologist to join our dynamic team in New Haven County, Connecticut. The role involves providing exceptional inpatient and outpatient care to our patients.
Responsibilities:
The responsibilities for this role include:
Conduct thorough examinations, obtain comprehensive medical histories, and treat patients with acute and chronic illnesses.
Order, administer, and interpret diagnostic tests to aid in accurate diagnoses.
Develop individualized treatment plans in collaboration with patients and their families.
Facilitate appropriate referrals to specialists when necessary.
Collaborate with management, fellow physicians, and staff to enhance care delivery and service quality.
Ensure compliance with billing and coding requirements, working closely with practice management.
Perform endoscopy procedures at the center.
Participate in a call rotation of 1 in 4.
Requirements
Graduation from an accredited medical school (MD or DO).
Board certification in Gastroenterology is required, or board eligibility for new graduates.
Possession of a valid and unrestricted Connecticut medical license or the ability to obtain one.
Valid DEA.
