    Software Engineer - Backend

    Certificial is transforming how businesses and their suppliers share insurance coverage information by moving from point-in-time documents to real-time data on the Smart COI NetworkTM. We're searching for a Software Engineer to develop and maintain our products and services APIs.

    As a Backend Software Engineer you will be responsible for curating the structure of server side information. You will primarily build backend components that will be utilized by the front end engineers, partners and UX designers. The day to day work consist of building features and functionalities in the backend to support the business strategy from a functional and non-functional stand point.

    What you'll do:

    · Build reusable frameworks for the backend components.
    · Enforce and upkeep APIs and DB components to stay current with the tech stack upgrades.
    · Ensure security, risk and compliance is built into the SDLC.
    · Attend technical seminars and bring the best practices to advance technology strategy.
    · Conduct proof of concept (POC) to validate viability of new technical solutions.
    What you'll bring:

    · 5+ year experience in backend development designing data models and data architectures for a complex high volume transaction processing system.
    · Hands on experience in building data models in SQL and NoSQL databases.
    · Experience in scaling, performance tuning and enforcing security on the backend components.
    · Solid working knowledge on Domain Driven design and Event Driven Architecture.
    · Hands on experience building APIs and Microservices in JAVA Spring Boot.
    · Hands on experience in writing unit test case, automate backend testing and writing component testing automation.
    · Familiar with the front-end UI/UX design principles.
    Compensation:

    · This role will receive a competitive base salary, bonus, and benefits. The base salary range for US-based employees is $50,000-$500,000.
    · A variety of factors are considered when determining someone's leveling and compensation-including a candidate's professional background and experience.
