- Perform all work in a safe manner; wear required personal protective equipment (PPE) and make certain that all safety equipment is in proper working order.
- Ability to troubleshoot and repair cut-to-length and press dies in a production manufacturing environment.
- Initiate and install improvement projects
- Safely and efficiently manufacture new and/or replacement tooling components from detailed part drawings and/or verbal instructions using a variety of manual machine shop equipment (Vertical "Bridgeport style" Mills, Surface Grinders, Welders, Hone, Drill Press, hydraulic press, etc.)
- Use precision measuring tools to measure and manufacture parts to exact specifications for tooling
- Use CMMS system for accurate tooling maintenance record keeping
- NO BIG EGO'S OR KNOW IT ALL'S
- Manual machinist experience
- Proficient in blueprint reading
- Experience with precision measuring devices
- Fabrication exposure/experience
- Ability to pass a drug and background check

Position SummaryIn this role, you will be working as a tool & die repair technician, in a steel facility. This is a SPLIT SHIFT, SO YOU WILL BE WORKING 5 AM - 5 PM ONE MONTH, THEN 5 PM - 5 AM THE NEXT MONTH. You only work 14 days out of the month.
