EEG/EMG Technician - Nyack, United States - Nyack Hospital
Description
Performs nerve conduction testing on out patients as directed according to established standards and practices. Assists in writing technical report on all patients. Work directly with the neurologist who will perform EMG component of testing. Room patients, clean room upon completion of test. Manage supplies and assist in ordering and stocking the rooms. Makes copies of test recordings upon request. Prepares the tests for physician interpretation. Contacts physicians to read tests. Sends final copies of tests to ordering physician.QUALIFICATIONS
High school graduate or equivalent; a two-year associate degree in applied science or enter a nerve conduction testing certification program REQUIRED and proven work experience performing nerve induction testing.
