    Description

    Duties * As a Training Instructor (Writer) and Subject Matter Expert for resident and non-resident training learning options and instructional delivery modes you will perform the following duties which is not an all-inclusive list; * Provide resident and non-resident classroom instruction in one or more courses within the Common Faculty Development curriculum.

    * Design and develop learning products that include lesson plans, assessments and practical exercises; student evaluation plans; course management plans; and other training materials.

    * Analyze, design, develop, validate and evaluate training programs using multimedia and distance learning technology.

    * Communicate in writing to design, adapt, modify, and edit course training materials, prepare formal reports, design surveys, and other data collection methods.

    * Advise the Division Chief and Director in the application of training technology strategy, strategies to enhance resident instruction.

    Requirements Conditions of Employment * Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.

    Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance throughout the duration of employment.

    Specialized Experience:

    One year of specialized experience includes experience in developing, implementing, and evaluating adult instructional programs and curriculum designs; and experience as a lead instructor in adult courses.

    This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-11).

    You will be evaluated on the basis of your level of competency in the following areas:

    Grade Requirement:
    Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-11)
