    Health, Safety & Environmental Manager . This position will be located at the Waynesboro, MS, Facility.


    SUMMARY


    This is a key management position within Sipcam Agro Solutions (SAS) Mississippi operations which is responsible for managing all aspects of safety, health and environmental program development and implementation to assure a safe workplace is provided and operates within compliance with all policies and regulations.

    The safety, health and environmental manager will work for the Plant Manager and with production, maintenance, engineering, and other support functions to assure that the company's safety, health and environmental, compliance obligations are met.

    ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES (include the following, however, other duties may apply).

    Follows all Company, Site, Federal, State and Local Rules and Regulations.

    Develop and follow established work procedures to make decisions and act in a manner to achieve safe, environmentally sound, operations.

    Key member of the SAS Leadership Team.

    Manages and administers all SHE related functions with one direct report and consultants.


    Must understand environmental permits and be able to implement processes and projects to assure compliance and timely reporting to agencies as required.

    Lead's the company's safety training and document programs

    Coach all levels of employees, including management in safety work practices.

    Evaluates, educates, and administers the SHE programs for all levels of employees.

    Conducts surveys, evaluations, inspections, and investigations of incidents and activities.

    Stays current on knowledge of SHE regulations, policies, and programs.

    Audits plant SHE performance against regulations and company polices.


    Prepares, maintains, and retrieves records, reports, or documents that may be required to meet corporate or regulatory requirements, including monitoring application of SHE standards.

    Promotes SHE awareness and fosters this awareness throughout the Plants.

    Promotes a positive Safety Culture at the SAS

    Supports all SHE committee Initiatives on site.

    Reviews and controlling costs within the budget will also be critical.

    Works with HR to manage Workmen Compensation cases and the medical program with 3rd parties.

    EDUCATION and/or


    EXPERIENCE:
    BS in Safety/Environmental, engineering, or similar, a minimum of 5 years of experience in the SHE area. Individual with either PE, CIH or CSP a plus.


    TRAVEL
    Travel between locations and to corporate will be required.

    POSTION TYPE/SCHEDULE

    This is a full-time position located at Waynesboro, MS. Monday – Friday, weekends as required, Overtime as required.
