- Install, maintain, and repair HVAC and refrigeration systems in the store to optimize performance and energy efficiency.
- Troubleshoot and identify issues with HVAC and refrigeration systems, offering timely solutions to minimize downtime.
- Carry out routine maintenance activities such as cleaning, adjusting, and replacing parts to ensure system longevity and efficiency.
- Monitor and inspect HVAC, mechanical, plumbing, and electrical systems, making recommendations for enhancements and upgrades.
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance, repairs, and service calls, and provide regular reports to management.
- Collaborate with in-house engineering to support HVAC modifications related to existing equipment, replacements, or new installations.
- Offer technical guidance and on-the-job training to other team members as required.
- Ensure compliance with appliance standards and Occupational Health and Safety Act.
- High school diploma, GED, or equivalent.
- Minimum of 1 year experience as an HVAC and refrigeration technician, with a willingness to pursue further education in the field.
- Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
- Understanding of advanced air conditioning, refrigeration, and heating principles.
- Knowledge of boiler systems, ammonia refrigeration compressors, condensers, pumps, and other mechanical devices.
- Ability to read and comprehend service manuals and related documents.
- Good vision, both natural and corrected, to focus at different distances and angles.
- Physical ability to stand, walk, climb ladders and stairs, work in confined spaces, and maneuver in various environments.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills to interact professionally and amicably with customers, team members, and management.
