    Michael Page is partnered with a national General Contractor that has a growing presence in the Mid-Atlantic region. They are currently seeking an experienced Safety Engineer. Our client is a national General Contractor with a growing presence in the Mid-Atlantic region. Their portfolio consists of Higher Education, K-12, Industrial, Healthcare, and Multifamily projects ranging from $10M - $100M+.

    Locally, they have a 2+ year Data Center project in the Northern VA area that they are looking to grow their team around.

    They are actively seeking a Safety Engineer with at least 1 year of experience in construction safety management.
    The Safety Engineer - Data Center Project - NoVA will be responsible for:
    # Safety Inspections and Audits:
    Conduct regular inspections and audits of construction sites to identify potential hazards, safety violations, and areas for improvement. Document findings and provide recommendations for corrective actions.
    # Safety Training:
    Develop and deliver safety training programs for construction workers, supervisors, and subcontractors. Ensure that all personnel are adequately trained in safety procedures, equipment usage, and emergency response protocols.
    # Risk Assessment and Management:
    Assess potential safety risks associated with construction activities, equipment, and materials. Develop risk mitigation strategies and implement measures to minimize the likelihood of accidents and injuries.
    # Regulatory Compliance:
    Stay informed about relevant safety regulations, codes, and standards applicable to the construction industry. Ensure that construction activities comply with local, state, and federal safety requirements.
    # Safety Documentation:
    Maintain accurate records of safety inspections, training sessions, incident reports, and safety-related documentation. Prepare reports for management and regulatory agencies as required.
    # Safety Communication:
    Promote a culture of safety awareness and accountability among all construction personnel. Communicate safety policies, procedures, and initiatives effectively to ensure understanding and compliance.

    PPE:
    Evaluate, select, and oversee the use of personal protective equipment (PPE) and safety gear appropriate for construction activities. Ensure that all personnel have access to and properly utilize required safety equipment.
    # Develop and implement emergency response plans for construction sites, including evacuation procedures, first aid protocols, and communication strategies. Identify opportunities for enhancing safety performance and implementing best practices within the organization. Collaborate with management, project teams, and external stakeholders to drive continuous improvement in safety outcomes.

    The Safety Engineer - Data Center Project - NoVA will have:
