    First Shift UW Medical Center - Northwest has an outstanding opportunity for a Clinical Nurse Specialist to work within our newly established 29-bed inpatient Oncology unit.

    WORK SCHEDULE 32 hours per week Day shift PRIMARY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES Plans, develops, implements/collaborates on, and evaluates oncology-related educational offerings designed to enhance the delivery of quality and safety of care.

    Serve as an oncology subject matter expert to a large and complex patient population. In collaboration with other campuses, will develop evidence-based protocols, promotes clinical standards and practice improvements and evaluates outcomes.

    Collaborate with the unit leadership, staff, and physicians to impact the quality of care for oncology patients through developing and implementing care standards, policies, guidelines, protocols, and benchmarking.

    Serve as a resource to staff providing care to oncology patients. POSITION QUALIFICATIONS Master's Degree in Nursing 3-5 years of Oncology related nursing experience An active chemotherapy administration certification An active license to practice as a Registered Nurse in Washington State Leadership, quality improvement or clinical education experience An active oncology nursing certification preferred Certification as a Clinical Nurse Specialist preferred ABOUT UW MEDICAL CENTER-NORTHWEST
