    Senior Cloud Engineer

    Role Overview:

    Seeking a Senior Cloud Engineer to join our Cloud Services team, specializing in the Capital Markets sector. As part of our Software-as-a-Service division, you will work on our CapCloud SaaS platforms, delivering innovative solutions to financial players of all sizes. These platforms are rapidly growing and fully hosted, providing transformative business processing capabilities.

    Responsibilities:

    Ensure the overall service availability and meet agreed service level requirements.

    Collaborate closely with the DevOps team to validate new versions of automation and provisioning scripts.

    Troubleshoot infrastructure or automation-related issues, particularly with Kubernetes deployment.

    Participate in BAU change request activities and maintenance activities.

    Manage incidents through to resolution, escalating to other resolver groups as needed.

    Execute plans for disaster recovery/business continuity, including periodic testing.

    Support a culture of continuous improvement, identifying areas for improved automation.

    Participate in on-call rotation and weekend work activities.

    Skills And Requirements:

    6+ years of experience in a SaaS environment for managed infrastructure or cloud-based solutions.

    Bachelor's degree in information technology or similar qualification.

    Strong knowledge of public cloud architecture (OCI, AWS, Azure).

    Experience with scripting languages such as Python and Unix Shell.

    Proficiency with Terraform and Linux (RedHat, Ubuntu, Centos, OEL).

    Experience with Kubernetes/Containers and good knowledge of TCP/IP, firewalls, VLAN, VPN, HTTP(S), and SSH.

    Familiarity with Oracle Cloud, AWS, and/or Azure.

    Understanding of Java J2EE applications and JVM tuning preferred.

    Knowledge of IBM MQ, other JMS services, Oracle, PostgreSQL, and Windows 2016+ is a plus.

    Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical audiences.

    Experience working in distributed teams across multiple time zones and jurisdictions.

    Hands-on experience with cloud management tools and strong analytical skills.

    Awareness of security and confidentiality issues, with experience in identifying security vulnerabilities.

    Knowledge of ITIL or similar frameworks.
