    General Dynamics Ordnance and Tactical Systems produces high-quality, high performance gun systems for a broad spectrum of land, sea, and air applications. We are about developing advanced rotary cannons, high speed ammunition handling systems, gun turrets, crew served weapons and other electro-mechanical technologies.     To succeed in this role, you will need the ability to generate definition of performance requirements for electrical systems and develop high reliability systems to support warfighter needs.

    You must be able to perform troubleshooting diagnosis of components, subassemblies and test equipment. You must be able to communicate your work products through written reports and oral presentations.

    The person should have industry experience designing control and power circuits with a strong preference given to candidates who have designed for military platforms.

    Responsibilities:

    • Designs, develops, and tests electrical equipment, components, circuits, or systems.
    • Applies mathematical and engineering principles and methods to designs.
    • Performs extensive testing and validation of designs to ensure reliability, performance, and safety standards are achieved.
    • Conducts research and studies new technologies to innovate and design solutions or products.

    Qualifications:

    • Knowledge, Skills & Abilities: Technical expertise; Analytical thinking skills; Problem-solving skills
    • Required Education: Associates Degree
    • Preferred Education: Bachelor's Degree
    • Discipline/Major: General Engineering or specialized Engineering degree required
    • Experience: 5 - 7 years experience in a relevant function
    • Applicant: Possess the ability to receive a security clearance
