    What You Will Do:


    The Quality Inspector inspects complex manufactured, purchased and/or fabricated parts for conformance to quality requirements stated on drawings, quality procedures or purchase orders.

    The preferred candidate will have experience inspecting lighting characteristics as it pertains to Luminance, Contrast, Chromaticity, and Night Vision Imaging Systems (NVIS).


    Primary Responsibilities:

    Performs visual, dimensional, electrical, functional, and optical inspection per documented inspection instruction with minimal supervision while adhering to documented time standards where applicable.

    Follows engineering drawings, specifications, quality assurance standards, test procedures, and verbal instructions to determine acceptance of product.
    Verifies quality in accordance with statistical process and other control procedures.
    Demonstrates ability to use complex inspection measuring and test equipment.

    Provides recommendations on drawing, test procedure or process improvement to Leadership in effort to improve design and/or manufacturability of product.

    Utilizes basic-to-complex inspection measurement equipment and performs complex set-ups to check dimensions and geometric tolerancing.
    Proficiently uses computer to document quality records, first article reports, etc.
    Participates in continuous improvement activities and projects.
    Leads lower-level Inspectors and provides cross training on lighting and final inspection.
    Coordinate and work with internal/external customer source inspection.
    Maintain the highest ethical standards, even when challenged from above
    Understand and live by Korry's culture.

    EducationHigh School Diploma or Equivalent is Required
    Two-year technical degree, Certified Quality Auditor or Certified Mechanical Inspector (CMI) preferred.

    ExperienceRequires 3+ years inspection experience in Aerospace manufacturing.
    Technical background in or around the aerospace industry is preferred.
    Experience in lighting inspection is a plus.

    Specialized Skills and Abilities:
    In depth knowledge and the ability to apply advanced shop mathematics, blueprint reading, geometric tolerancing and SPC.
    Ability to proficiently set-up and use all inspection measurement equipment, basic to complex.
    Skilled with Microsoft Outlook, Word, Teams and Excel software.
    Strong written and verbal communication skills for cross-shift tie-ins.
    Ability to work cooperatively in a team environment.
    Ability to prioritize tasks and work independently to meet goals.

    Physical Requirements :
    Lifting to 50-lbs may be required.
    Periodic standing, sitting, and walking.

    Work Environment :
    This job operates in a professional manufacturing environment.
    The noise level in the work environment is usually moderately quiet.
    This role routinely uses machinery that requires frequent close vision and the ability to adjust focus.
    The employee must use hands in a very precise manners when building parts

    Salary Range
    Please note the typical hiring range is $ $33.00 hourly. Job offers within the range are based on significant job qualifications and pay equity.
