    Description
    • Facilitate training of employees in order to meet company safety standards as well as customer safety expectations through routine training sessions as well as New Employee Safety Orientation.
    • Manage injury cases by properly maintaining and storing safety and statistical records.
    • Manage customer-mandated statistical reporting accounts, such as ISNetworld, PEC, DISA, NCMS, TPS and Veriforce, by updating programs on a timely basis and submitting safety-related Assist the Safety Director in Incident Management processes by participating in the investigation of actual and near-miss incidents to determine root cause failures, develop proper corrective actions so that accidents might be prevented in the future.

    · Assist in the processing of appropriate Worker's Compensation data.

    • Work closely with Operations personnel to drive the implementation of Company safety programs and requirements and recommend measures to help protect workers from potentially hazardous work methods, processes, or materials.
    • Perform routine, unannounced inspections of Company facilities to verify compliance with safety laws, regulations, and standards and participate in customer safety audits when required.
    • Identify and order suspension of activities that pose threats to workers' health or safety.
    • Develop or maintain hygiene programs, such as noise surveys, continuous atmosphere monitoring, and ventilation surveys.
    • Review existing HSE policies and procedures for potential opportunities for improvement and update policies when necessary.
    • Assist in the development of in-house training curriculum and materials for safety-related topics (e.g., JSA, LOTO, confined space).
    • statistical data to appropriate agencies for analysis.
    • Collaborate with healthcare professionals to plan or provide appropriate treatment for work-related injuries.


    Required Skills

    · Law and Government — Knowledge of Health, Safety and Environmental -related laws, legal codes, court procedures, precedents, government regulations, executive orders, and agency rules.

    · Education and Training — Knowledge of principles and methods for curriculum and training design, teaching and instruction for individuals and groups, and the measurement of training effects.

    · Safety and Security — Knowledge of relevant equipment, policies, procedures, and strategies to promote effective safety and security operations for the protection of people and property.

    · Team Project Management — Team player and able to lead and motivate others in the planning and execution of major projects.

    · Computer Software – Advanced Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite. General knowledge of ERP System functioning, and database and query software, such as Microsoft Access, & ISNetworld.

    · Problem Sensitivity — The ability to tell when something is wrong or is likely to go wrong.

    · Complex Problem Solving — Identifying complex problems and reviewing related information to develop and evaluate options and implement solutions.

    · Critical & Analytical Thinking — Using logic and reasoning to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions or approaches to problems. Analyzing information and using logic to address work-related issues and problems.

    · Judgment and Decision Making — Considering the relative costs and benefits of potential actions to choose the most appropriate one.

    · Attention to Detail — Job requires being careful about detail and thorough in completing work tasks.

    · Active Listening — Giving full attention to what other people are saying, taking time to understand the points being made, asking questions as appropriate, and not interrupting at inappropriate times.

    Required Experience

    Experience:

    • 3 years of experience in the management of regulatory compliance, required. OSHA experience or experience with OSHA regulations preferred.
    • 3 years of experience in safety management for land, offshore, and/or inland waterway projects, required.
    • 2 years of experience liaising with major oil company clients (e.g., Chevron, Shell Oil, Exxon Mobil), preferred.
