    Job DescriptionDescription:

    General: The Branch Rehab Technician is responsible for assisting in the marketing, sales,

    documentation, verification, delivery, and billing of rehab services. This position will also assist

    with fittings, adjustments, repairs and assembling of complex rehab equipment.

    The Branch Rehab Technician will provide support to all departments performing a variety of

    duties as needed. This will include, but not limited to gather and maintain patient information

    in hard copy and electronic systems, provide back-up to receptionist and front-end customer

    service in other branches, clerical support to billing and administration.

    Additional duties include warehouse management inventory control

    Responsible To: Group 2 Manager

    Requirements:

    Qualifications Physical:

    1. In an average 8-hour day the employee lifts/carries up to 35 pounds frequently.

    2. In an average 8-hour day the employee stands/walks 4-6 hours.

    3. In an average 8-hour day the employee sits 2-4 hours. (These hours include up to 2 hours of

    data entry/phone work)

    4. In an average 8-hour day the employee drives 1-2 hours.

    5. The employee lifts/carries up to 85 lbs. maximum.

    6. Must be clean and neat in personal appearance.

    Education:

    1. High school diploma.

    2. 2-year rehab experience or approved training preferred.

    Experience/Knowledge/Personality:

    1. Able to function as a polite and cooperative team member with a positive attitude.

    2. Good computer skills preferred.

    3. Good oral and written communication skills.

    4. Must be detail oriented.

    5. People sensitive characteristics with a desire to help others.

    6. Able to work independently.

    7. Certification may be required.

    8. Excellent driving record required.

    Responsibilities include but not limited to:

    ? Maintaining an accurate and efficient workflow for processing rehab orders and related

    documentation.

    ? A working knowledge of computer system to include order entry, inventory, notes, report

    writing and accounts receivable.

    ? Assisting with obtaining all required documentation, authorizations, verifications, and

    waivers for proper payment of rehab products. Responsible to respond in a timely manner to

    requests for additional information, and to investigate problems and resolve with

    appropriate staff.

    ? Assisting with placing orders for wheelchair and accessories through purchasing

    department.

    ? Repairing specialty or high-end wheelchairs and complex rehab equipment for AcTion

    Seating Mobility customers; includes setting schedule for pick-up, delivery, providing loaner

    PRN., ordering replacement parts, repairing, documenting repairs for billing, and making

    notations in appropriate notes in computer system

    ? Keeping abreast of third-party reimbursement issues and documentation requirements.

    ? Setting-up appointments for fittings, deliveries, etc. in conjunction with customer service

    staff and Rehab Specialist/ATP.

    ? Assisting with deliveries and set-ups as requested by Rehab Specialist/ATP /or Operations

    Manager.

    ? Maintaining confidentiality of all customer charts and secure files at close of business day.

    ? Providing support and assistance to other departments as needed. We are a TEAM.

    ? Maintaining a clean, neat and orderly work area.

    ? Being on call per company policy. We currently do not run call as we do not support life

    supporting equipment such as Oxygen and ventilators. Most service will be performed in a

    standard workday with expected overtime as needed.

    ? Attending company meetings.

    ? Receive equipment and parts as purchased through purchasing and shipped to your branch.

    ? As equipment is sold, converted to purchase, or becomes obsolete, input this information

    into system.

    ? Prepare records for management, such as inventory min/max summaries for buying,

    stocking, and reorder purposes.

    ? Maintain inventory records on system as items are added and deleted.

    ? Assist in year-end physical inventory counts.

    ? Update sale prices of inventory as needed.

    ? Maintain Home Medical vehicle records.

    ? Assist in assuring that branch location is safe, organized, efficient environment.

    ? Other duties as deemed appropriate by management.
