- Develop and implement effective traffic management plans for large events to ensure efficient flow and minimize congestion.
- Collaborate with local authorities and transportation agencies to obtain necessary permits, approvals and cooperation.
- Design crowd control strategies to manage pedestrian flow in high-density areas including queue management for entry areas and retail locations.
- Work with the management team to design appropriate signage strategies to ensure smooth and safe movement of pedestrians during events.
- Design and optimize parking layouts for events, considering factors such as access, infrastructure, capacity, accessibility, and safety.
- Coordinate with parking attendants and security personnel to efficiently manage parking operations and space utilization.
- Assist with the development of training & certifications for traffic crew members.
- Work closely with event planners to understand specific requirements and customize traffic and parking solutions accordingly.
- Provide expertise during the planning phase to address potential challenges and enhance overall event logistics to maximize safety and efficiency.
- Utilize traffic modeling software and analyze data to optimize traffic flow patterns and parking space utilization.
- Prepare post-event reports to evaluate the effectiveness of implemented plans and propose improvements for future events.
- Effectively communicate with internal teams, external stakeholders, and event organizers to ensure seamless coordination.
- Address concerns and provide solutions to mitigate any traffic or parking-related issues during events.
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Transportation Engineering, or a related field.
- 5 years of experience in traffic and parking engineering, with a focus on large event management.
- Proficiency in traffic modeling software and data analysis tools.
- Strong knowledge of local traffic regulations and permits.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work well under pressure and adapt to dynamic event environments.
- Frequent travel will be required.
